Metal Delta KS Campaign Update #17: Parts are finally here! April 23 2017, 32 Comments

Hi Everyone!

We have finally received the crate with the steel parts this past week! :)

Some admin stuff:

We have begun unloading the crate, and have been doing random quality checks on the metal pieces. Below are some images. Also apologies for the late update, we were busy with unloading the crate. It also had a weird smell, so we decided to air it out for a few days to reduce any health risks to us.

Since it’s been a while, we will be sending each of you personal emails requesting for your shipping address. If you are in the middle of moving, please let us know your move date, and where you would want it shipped. Based on your shipping address, we will be sending you the shipping cost estimate. It is more tedious this way, but it’s fair, since those that live closer will pay less, and those further away will pay appropriately. Also, all shipments will be insured for peace of mind. In your response email, also remind us of any special requests that you might have. For example some of you ordered the laser shield and eye protection. Some also ordered extra carriages, or extra effectors. Please note that on to your response too.

With regards to the instructional video:

We expect the video to be ready in 2 to 3 weeks. This means that you will probably get your kits before the video is ready. To avoid any unnecessary headaches when building, please wait for the videos to be released (unless, of course, you know what you’re doing).

We will be ready for your build questions on the forums, so please make sure that you’re on there. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/blueeaglelabs. Shall we create a FB groups as well? Let us know.

We will be getting some people to help out with the kitting process, and we expect all kits to be shipped out by May 7th. ;)

To give you guys a better picture of the timeline:

- this week we will organize our space so that kitting will be streamlined. We will also do a more thorough inspection of the parts, and do a sample frame build. I know you guys are in a hurry, but this is a very important step. It will make your lives easier, and will make errors minimal.

- by may 2, we will have the kits ready for the early bird backers.

- by may 7, all the remaining kits will be ready for UPS/USPS pick up.
